Saperda
a genus of beetles of the family Cerambycidae. The body, which is 1–3 cm long, is gray, yellow, brown, or green. Sa-perdas have long antennae and parallel elytra. Of the approximately 30 widely distributed species, 12 are found in the USSR. The white, legless larvae develop in the wood of hardwood trees. Saperdas injure poplars, aspens, birches, alders, and other trees.
