PHRED
PHRED (in DNA SEQUENCING) a computer program for DNA sequence traces, that reads the trace, ‘calls’ the bases and assigns a quality score to each base. For the quality score, peaks round each base are examined. A quality score of X corresponds to an error probability (i.e. probability that the base called is wrong) of 10; a score of 30 (10–3 error probability) corresponds to 99.9% accuracy for the base call.PHRED
