Sarata

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sarata Raion, Odessa Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the Sarata River. Railroad station on the Artsiz-Belgorod-Dnestrovskii line. Sarata has a food-processing combine, a cereal-products combine, a winery, a flour mill, and other enterprises, as well as a foundry-machine shop and a dairy shop. There is a forest improvement station nearby.
