renoazygous-lumbar arch of Lejars

An obsolete term for an anatomic variant of the origin of the hemiazygous vein, in which the left lumbar azygous vein, or the medial root thereof, is formed by an anastomosis between venules anterior to the lumbar vertebrae and the left renal vein, which may also anastomose with the inferior vena cava and the second and third lumbar veins.
