Established: 1983.
Location:Beside Matagorda Bay, about 20 miles southeast of Bay City.
Activities:Waterfowl hunting.
Special Features:Site includes Dressing Point Island, one of the major rookeries for colonial nesting birds on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Habitats: 5,000 acres of salt marsh.
Access: Open to the public for waterfowl hunting season and for special activities.
Wild life: Migratory waterfowl and other bird species, especially roseate spoonbill, white Ibis, snowy egret, and brown pelican.
