Sotsialistik Kazakhstan

 

(Socialist Kazakhstan), a republic-wide Kazakh-language newspaper of the Kazakh SSR. Founded in 1919, the newspaper was originally called Ushkyn (The Spark). It was renamed several times and assumed its present name in 1937. It is published in Alma-Ata six times a week. Circulation, 150,400 (1975). Sotsialistik Kazakhstan was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1957. [24–664–1 ]
