Unfeather
Un`feath´er
v. t. | 1. | To deprive of feathers; to strip. |
unfeather
unfeatherAn operation in which the propeller blades move to the lowest pitch from the high-pitch angle consequent to feathering. This reduction of the angle of the blades' aerodynamic forces unloads the engine and causes the propeller to rotate faster or, if there is no engine power, causes the propeller to autorotate, thus increasing RPM. See propeller pitch. |
