Phytophagan

an animal whose diet consists exclusively of plants. True phytophagans include many insects, among them polyphagans, oligophagans. and monophagans. Many herbivorous vertebrates, such as rodents and grain-eating birds, are not phytophagans, as they also feed on animals, mainly invertebrates.
