Barchas, Jack D. Barchas, Jack D.(1935– ) neurologist, psychiatrist; born in Los Angeles. He was professor of psychiatry at Stanford (1967–89) and dean for research development and for neuroscience at the University of California: Los Angeles School of Medicine (1990). His major research dealt with the relationship between behavior and neuroregulators, chemicals that transmit information between nerve cells. |
