Udachnyi

an urban-type settlement in Mirnyi Raion, Yakut ASSR. Udachnyi is located 550 km northwest of the city of Mirnyi. The settlement was founded in 1968 after the discovery of the Udachnaia diamond pipe. Udachnyi has ore-dressing enterprises, and diamonds are mined nearby.
