Piaozero

a lake in the Karelian ASSR, in the Kovda River basin; part of the Topopiaozero Reservoir. Area, 659 sq km. Lake Piaozero is located in a tectonic depression at an elevation of approximately 101 m. The shores are ragged, and there are many bays. The lake is dotted by islands, which have a total area of 186 sq km.
