Location:North central Missouri, near the town of Sumner.
Facilities:Visitor center, fishing piers, trails, observation tower, auto tour route.
Activities:Boating, canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking, educational programs.
Special Features:More than 100 bald eagles winter on refuge lands.
Habitats: 10,795 acres of wetland, farmland, old growth bottomland hardwood.
Access: Open during daylight hours; access to portions of the interior are limited.
Wild life: Canada geese, waterfowl, eagles, coyotes, raccoons, muskrat, and white-tailed deer.
