Facilities:65 tent and trailer campsites, flush toilets, showers, laundryfacilities, 3 group camping sites, 6 yurts, picnic areas, picnicshelters, group picnic area, playground, food concession, hikingtrails, multi-use trail (é), bathhouse, boat launch, boat and canoerentals, bird observation facility.
Activities:Camping, boating (electric motors only), canoeing, sailing, fishing,swimming, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, mountain biking, inlineskating, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, icefishing, sledding, bird watching, nature programs(seasonal).
Special Features:Established in 1914, Swartswood was New Jersey's first state park andis known for its tranquil surroundings and great fishing. Both LittleSwartswood and Swartswood Lake have been the focus of water quality improvement efforts, including invasive aquatic weed control and watershed protection.
