Theory of Group Outcome Attainment with Organizations

Theory of Group Outcome Attainment with Organizations

A theory of the empowerment of groups within organizations, based on doctoral research done by Christina Sieloff in the 1990s (and originally called the Theory of Nursing Departmental Power, and later the Theory of Group Power). It proposes that empowerment of groups arises from the interplay of the group's role, its resources, its position, and the environment in which it operates. It also suggests that enhancements in power flow from competency in communication and leadership and the goals and outcomes sought by the group.
