South African Futures Exchange

A branch of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange specializing in derivatives. Originally established in 1988 and owned by the JSE since 2001, the South African Futures Exchange consists of two main subdivisions, one for equity derivatives and one for agricultural derivatives. Both subdivisions offer a variety of investment vehicles, but the latter is well known for its futures contracts based on maize.
