Puchezh

a city and administrative center of Puchezh Raion, Ivanovo Oblast, RSFSR. Puchezh is a landing on the right bank of the Volga, 117 km southeast of the Kineshma railroad station. It has a flax combine, a lumber combine, a milk plant, a plant for the production of reinforced-concrete items, and a stitch-embroidery factory. It also has a museum of local lore and a people’s amateur theater. Puchezh was moved to a new site in connection with the construction of the Gorky Reservoir.
