Vereia Principality

 

one of the Russian principalities; located southwest of Moscow, with the city of Vereia as its center. At first Vereia was part of the Mozhaisk Principality, which Dmitrii Donskoi allotted to his son Andrei, who ruled from 1389 to 1432. From 1432 to 1486, the Vereia Principality was the appanage of Andrei’s son Mikhail, after whose death the Vereia Principality was annexed by the Grand Duchy of Moscow.
