South American Depression

a low-pressure atmospheric system in the subtropical and tropical latitudes of South America. The South American Depression, which appears primarily in the summer months, is one of the centers of atmospheric activity whose existence is associated with the intensification of cyclones over the continent compared to adjacent parts of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
