Location:7 miles west of Scottsboro, Alabama, near Guntersville Reservoir.

Activities:Hiking.
Special Features:The refuge's double-entrance cave has been a major maternity cave for gray and Indiana bats. In 1997, a summer count documented 300,000 to 400,000 gray bats emerging from the cave. In addition to the rare fauna within the cave, the federally-threatened Price's potato bean occurs on the refuge.
Habitats: Hillside cave surrounded by 264 acres of hardwoods.
Access: The cave is not open to the public; other portions of the refuge are open during daylight hours.
Wild life: Endangered gray bats and Indiana bats.
