Location:In Garrett County, generally south of I-68.
Facilities:52 primitive roadside campsites, backpack camping throughout theforest, picnic facilities, bicycle and hiking trails, boat launch, shooting range.
Activities:Camping, canoeing, freshwater fishing, hiking,mountain biking, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ATVriding.
Special Features:Forest is the largest facility in the state forest system. The forestis classified as a mixed hardwood forest, and it preserves a strategicwatershed. More than 12,000 acres of the forest have been designated asWildlands.
