[pē¦ā·zō·ri¦zis·tiv ′mī·krə‚fōn] (engineering acoustics) A microphone in which a piezoresistive material is deposited on the edges of a membrane, and variations in the resistance of this material resulting from motion of the membrane are sensed, typically in a Wheatstone bridge.
