Location:Off County Road 14 via Highway 65 north.
Facilities:61 drive-in campsites (18 with electrical hookups), showers (é),flush toilets (é), 6 backpack campsites, 2 canoe-in campsites, groupcamp, camper cabin, guest house, picnic area (é), picnic shelter(é), playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball court, hiking trails (17miles), self-guided trails (5 miles), mountain bike trails (10 miles),ski trails (12 miles), snowmobile trails (34 miles), warming house,swimming beach, fishing pier, boat launch, boat and motor rentals,canoe rentals, historic site, visitor center (é), interpretiveexhibits, gift shop.
Activities:Camping, swimming, lake and river fishing, boating (electric motorsonly), canoeing, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling,snowshoeing.
Special Features:Park contains the historic Savanna Portage Trail once traveled by furtraders, Dakota and Ojibwe Indians, and explorers. The trail required asix-mile portage across marsh,swamp, and forest, which took an average of five days to reach the WestSavanna River. Today, visitors can hike the Savanna Portage Trail aswell as the Continental Divide Trail.
