Balabac

 

a strait between Balabac Island on the north and the islands of Balambagan and Banggai on the south, connecting the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. The strait is approximately 50 km wide and 49–151 m deep. To the east, the Strait of Balabac is divided by coral shelves, rising 5 m and 3.5 m below the surface, into two passageways: Lumbukan and the Main Passage.
