Requisites
information that a document such as a contract or bill of lading must contain in order to be valid. This information consists of the document’s title and date, the name and address of the enterprise or organization issuing the document, the names of the parties, the nature of the transaction and the reasons for performing it, the units of measure and volume involved, the projected cost, and the signatures of the responsible persons. The absence of one or several requisites in cases provided for by law makes the document invalid or voidable. The strictest requirements are those specified for the requisites of bookkeeping documents, for which additional requisites may be stipulated.
