unscheduled care unscheduled care Health and/or social care needs that cannot reasonably be foreseen or planned in advance of contact with relevant services…such demand can occur any time, and must be available 24/7. Unscheduled care is, by definition, urgent, with a need to take action at the time of contact with services. Unscheduled care does not include delivery of routine or non-urgent services on an as-needed and uncontrolled basis 24 hours a day. |
