Verkh-Neivinskii

an urban-type settlement in Sverdlovsk Oblast, RSFSR. Site of a railroad station 70 km north of Sverdlovsk. Population, 8,200 (1968). Verkh-Neivinskii arose near a metallurgical plant that was founded in 1762. (The plant has not been in operation since 1925.) There is a plant for the treatment of secondary nonferrous metals.
