Verkhniaia Angara Depression

a depression between the Verkhniaia Angara and Severnaia-Muia ranges (Buriat ASSR). Length, over 100 km; width, 40 km; elevation, 470-800 m. It drains into the Verkhniaia Angara River, whose channel at this point splits into branches and tributaries. On the bottom of the depression, meadow-marsh and meadow flora alternates with areas of larch, pine, and birch forests.
