Verkhnii Avzian

an urban-type settlement in Beloretsk Raion, Bashkir ASSR, situated on the Avzian River (a tributary of the Belaia), 98 km southwest of Beloretsk, with which it is linked by a highway. Population, 5,600 (1968). Verkhnii Avzian has a logging and timber distribution establishment.
