Verkhnii Fiagdon

an urban-type settlement in Alagir Raion, Severnaia Ossetiia ASSR. Situated on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus, on the river Fiagdon (a tributary of the Ardon), 45 km southeast of the Alagir railroad station. Population, 2,800 (1970). Verkhnii Fiagdon has mining of lead-zinc ores and an ore-concentrating plant.
