Shunto ShuntoIn Japan, annual negotiations between trade unions and corporations on wage increases. Traditionally, shunto began in March each year. Over time, wage increases during shunto became almost automatic. Shunto has become less common since the 1990s with the weakening of unions in the wake of the Asian financial crisis. |
