Vinogradova, Evdokiia Viktorovna and Mariia Ivanovna

Initiators of the Stakhanovite movement in the textile industry. In February 1935, while working as weavers at the V. P. Nogin Vichuga Factory, they were the first to move from working with 26 looms to working with 40. By November 1935 they were operating 216 automatic machines and, by the spring of 1936, 284. The methods of the Vinogradovas were disseminated extensively in the textile enterprises of the USSR.

Evdokiia Viktorovna Vinogradova. Born July 19 (Aug. 1), 1914, in Vichuga, Ivanovo Oblast; died Sept. 7, 1962, in Moscow. Became a member of the CPSU in 1939. Graduated from the Academy of Industry in 1941. From 1948 to 1952 she worked as head of the Division of Master Technologists of the Ministry of Light Industry. She was a deputy to the first convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. She was awarded the Order of Lenin.

Mariia Ivanovna Vinogradova. Born May 22 (June 4), 1910, in Vichuga. Hero of Socialist Labor (1971). Became a member of the CPSU in 1939. Beginning in 1948 she was deputy director of the Moscow Frunze Factory and, beginning in 1963, deputy director of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Bast Fiber. She was a deputy to the first convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. She has been awarded three Orders of Lenin and medals.
