Piotrków

(also Piotrków Trybunalski; in Russian, Pe-trokov), city and administrative center of Piotrków Wojewódz-two. Population, 62,400 (1973). Coal-mining and other mining machines are manufactured in Piotrków, as is equipment for glass factories, the construction industry, and agriculture. The city also has glass, knitted-goods, garment, and food-processing industries and a wood-products industry that manufactures veneer for furniture.
