Established: Proclaimed on May 31, 1923.
Location:14 miles southwest of Fredonia, Arizona, accessible from US 89A via AZ 389.
Facilities:Rest rooms (é), visitor center (é), museum/exhibit, self-guided tour/trail. Entrance fee required.
Activities:Self-guided tours, hiking, ranger-guided tours, living history demonstrations.
Special Features:The springs at this location have sustained hundreds of years of cultural occupation in this dry, desert region. The Ancestral Puebloan culture thrived here, followed by the Kaibab Paiute and Mormon pioneers. Historic structures associated with the 1870s pioneer ranching operation remain.
