Soviet-Jordanian Agreements
Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Jordan on Aug. 21, 1963. In a communique of Oct. 4, 1967, the two countries noted that their relations are based on the principles of equality, friendship, and mutual respect and announced their desire to develop mutually advantageous ties.
The two countries concluded agreements on cultural and scientific cooperation (Oct. 4, 1967), economic and technical cooperation (Jan. 21, 1969), trade (Jan. 21, 1969), and air transportation (June 11.1970).
