Soviet-Mexican Agreements

 

Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Mexico on Aug. 4, 1924. Relations were broken off Jan. 26, 1930, and were resumed Nov. 10–12,1942.

The two countries concluded agreements on cultural and scientific cooperation, which created a joint commission for yearly exchange programs (May 28, 1968), on trade (Apr. 16, 1973), on the creation of a joint commission for commercial problems (protocol, Apr. 16, 1973), and on the delivery of machinery and equipment by the USSR to Mexico (protocol, Apr. 16, 1973). In addition, agreements were concluded on exchange and cooperation in radio and television broadcasting (Nov. 13, 1974) and on scientific and technical cooperation (Oct. 1, 1975).
