Location:15 miles northwest of Sisseton off SD 10.
Facilities:12 campsites, horsemen's camp, picnic areas, hiking trails, bike trails, bridle trails, historic site.
Activities:Camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, interpretive programs.
Special Features:The hills in Sica Hollow were the subject of many legends, and the Hollow's first Indian visitors named it "Sica," which means evil or bad. Along the Trail of the Spirits, a National Recreation Trail, are gurgling reddish bogs, swamp gas and stumps that glow in the dark, and small waterfalls that are heard echoing as trapped air escapes.
