Tochari

Tochari

 

(1) A people—also called the Yüeh-chih—who lived in Middle Asia from the second century B.C. through the first millennium AD. (see).

(2) The name for the speakers of the Indo-European Tocharian languages. The Tochari originally lived in Eastern Europe in the third and second millennia B.C., and not later than the mid-first millennium A.D., they lived in Central Asia.
