释义 | Scarry, RichardScarry, Richard (McClure)(1919–94) writer, illustrator; born in Boston, Mass. He studied at the Boston Museum School (1938–41); the Archipenko Art School, Woodstock, N.Y.; and the Eliot O'Hara Watercolor School in Gooserocks Beach, Maine. In 1946 he began to write and illustrate brightly colored and extremely detailed popular books for young children, as in What Do People Do All Day? (1968). He was based in New York City until 1969 and then settled in Switzerland. |
