Retina Display
Retina Display
The LCD screen display technology from Apple, introduced with the iPhone 4 in 2010. Retina Displays have high pixel densities (see table below), and the combination of density and in-plane switching (IPS) produces a quality display. Apple claims it is impossible to perceive the individual pixels on a Retina Display screen. See IPS panel.RETINA DISPLAY PIXEL DENSITYIntroduced With PPI iPhone 4 and 5 326 iPhone 6 326 Retina HD iPhone 6 Plus 401 Retina HD iPod touch (4th gen) 326 iPod touch (5th gen) 326 iPad mini (2nd gen) 326 New iPad (3rd gen) 264 13" MacBook Pro 227 15" MacBook Pro 220
