Special Features:Park is Nevada's oldest and largest state park, dedicated in 1935. Thevalley derives its name from red sandstone formations and the starkbeauty of the Mojave Desert. Petrified wood and 3,000-year-oldpetroglyphs give witness to the trees and people that occupied the arealong ago.
