Art Moderne style

(1930–1945)A modern style characterized by rounded corners, flat roofs, and smooth wall finishes devoid of surface ornamentation. A distinctive streamlined look was created by wrapping curved window glass around corners. Ornamentation consisted of mirrored panels and cement panels with low relief. Aluminum and stainless steel were used for door and window trim, railings and balusters. Metal or wooden doors often had circular windows.
