Barclays

A global financial services company. It was established in London in 1690 and gradually increased its holdings over time. In 1966, it issued Britain's first credit card, and, in 1985, it issued the country's first debit card. It introduced the ATM machine and is one of the world's largest companies. In 2008, it purchased Lehman Brothers, which had filed bankruptcy as a result of the 2008 economic crisis.
