Storsjön

 

a lake in Sweden. Lake Storsjón covers an area of 456 sq km and has a depth of 75 m. The lake is situated in a glacial tectonic depression at an elevation of 292 m. The shores are wooded, steep, and strongly indented. There are many islands in the lake. Lake Storsjón is frozen from November through May. The Indalsálven River flows across the lake. The lake is navigable and is used for fishing. The city of Óstersund is situated on the eastern shore.
