(Evening Secondary School), scientific-methodological and organizational-pedagogical journal of the Ministry of Education of the USSR (until 1967, an organ of the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR). Founded in 1958 under the name Obshcheo-brazovateVnaia shkola vzroslykh (General Education School for Adults), it has had its present name since 1961. It is published in Moscow and appears six times a year. The journal deals with such questions as the organization of evening and correspondence education, the methodology of education and upbringing, pedagogical skill, and research work in the field of general education for adults. It also has sections called “Abroad” and “Criticism and Bibliography.” Circulation (1971), about 24,000.
