Puulavesi

a lake in southern Finland. Length, 50 km; area, 370 sq km; depth, to 67 m. The shores have numerous gulfs and bays; there are many forested islands. Lake Puulavesi freezes in the winter. It empties into the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea via the Kymi River system. The lake is navigable.
