Location:On Highway 31, 6 miles south of I-80 Exit 432; 9 miles south of Gretna.
Facilities:Picnic areas, 10 picnic shelters, nature trails (3 miles), visitor center, aquarium, museum, geological display.
Activities:Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking.
Special Features:This day use park is home to the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium, with 12 viewingtanks, a large terrarium, and a theater. Park is also the site of thestate's first fish hatchery (1882), which is now a fish managementmuseum, and an interesting geological display is located nearby.
