Location:1 hour east of Cleveland, in the northeast part of the state.

Special Features:Pymatuning is a state park in both Ohio and Pennsylvania (see separate entry in Pennsylvania state parks section). Pymatuning Lake is one of the finest walleye and muskellunge fishing lakes in the country.

Pymatuning State Park
Location:Off US 322 in the northwest corner of the state.
Facilities:More than 1,000 class A/B campsites (about half with electricity), group tent/trailer camp, 25 modern cabins (é), showers, flush and pit toilets, laundry, picnic areas (é), picnic pavilions, snack bar, swimming beaches, boat rentals, boat launch, boat mooring, marina, hiking trails (2 miles), snowmobile trails, amphitheater, playfield, playground, environmental programs.

Special Features:Park includes 17,088-acre Pymatuning Reservoir, a large manmade lake featuring a dam, spillway, fish hatchery, two causeways across the lake, and the Pennsylvania Game Commission Visitor Center and Waterfowl Museum. The spillway is one of the more popular spots for visitors because the fish being fed are so crowded that ducks appear to walk on the fishes' backs to compete for handouts.
