Revoliutsiia 1905–1907 Godov v Rossii

(Revolution of 1905–1907 in Russia), the first major publication of archival documents and other materials on the history of the first Russian revolution. The publication gives a picture of revolutionary events throughout the country. It was published between 1955 and 1965 by the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, the Main Archival Administration, and the central state historical archives. The main editorial board was headed by A. M. Pankratova and A. L. Sidorov.

The publication includes about 9,000 documents filling 18 volumes. The first volume is entitled The Beginning of the First Russian Revolution (January to March 1905). The next two volumes are called The Revolutionary Movement in Russia in the Spring and Summer of 1905 (April to September 1905). They are followed by two volumes entitled The All-Russian Political Strike in October 1905. The subsequent five volumes are called The Culmination of the Revolution (November and December 1905), and the last eight volumes are entitled The Second Period of the Revolution (1906–07). The collections are furnished with commentaries and indexes (names, places, enterprises, and newspapers). A number of volumes contain lists of archival documents and other sources not included in the publication and also chronicles of revolutionary events.
