revolving-door admission revolving-door admission A type of planned-repeat admission, most often for geriatric and psychogeriatric patients who spend alternate fortnights (2 weeks) in hospital as an inpatient and two weeks at home or a care home. Usually two patients are paired for logistical reasons, to facilitate use of the same bed. |
