释义 | Schwartz, Louis B.Schwartz, Louis B.(1913– ) legal educator, consultant; born in Philadelphia. A pioneer in a generation of legal code reformers, he spent his early career (1935–46) working for the federal Securities and Exchange Commission and Justice Department. He was aide to U.S. Ambassador Chester Bowles in India as an administrator of the Agency for International Development program (1964). He was director of the National Commission on Reform of Federal Criminal Laws (1967–71), and taught at the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1964–83). He also taught law at the University of California: Hastings (1938) and gained a major reputation for championing the exclusionary rule in defense of individual rights and liberties. He was author of Free Enterprise and Economic Organization (1983–85, in two volumes) and many other books and papers. |
